WORK EXPERIENCE:
Don Piercy has been helping buyers and sellers of smaller businesses for over 25 years. As executive director of Printing Industries of the Gulf Coast, regional trade association for graphics firms, he regularly counseled with owners about selling their business and assisted buyers to acquire a business.
He is author of Before You Sell Your Printing Business and taught seminars on the subject for many years. He also performed value assessments for printing company owners and served as expert witness on a number of occasions when the value of a business was at issue.
Piercy worked with the International Center for Entrepreneurial Development as Vice President, Kwik Kopy Business Centers where he helped develop the new franchise and performed studies of over 20 small cities in the Texas Gulf Coast area. He also authored a book, Evolution - the Past Present and Future of Business Communication.
He is the former General Manager of The Catalog Service Bureau, Phil Wilson Publishing Company where he cataloged spare parts warehouses at refineries and created internal corporate phone directories. He published The Texas List of Scientific and Technical Publications and served as publisher and editorial director of Graphic Southwest Magazine.
Piercy also operated his own seminar business, Graphic Arts Management Associates, and performed seminars across the U.S. and Canada on topics such as Pricing, The Future of Printing Technology and Selling A Printing Business.
He also authored and created The Integrated Human Resource System and created the ProShare Human Resource Consortiums which allows several business owners to share the services of a human resource professional.
EDUCATION:
Don Piercy attended the University of Houston where he served on the staff of the Audio Visual Department as Production Supervisor.
PERSONAL:
Piercy is an avid student of Texas history and collector of Texana. He is author of A Printer Captured Santa Anna - The untold story of Texas' colonization, revolution, and republic. He is a founder and served as Director of The Museum of Printing History, and founder and former director of The Texas Printing Education Foundation. He is a Rotarian and as Director of the Museum was a regular speaker at Rotary Club meetings all across Texas.
