BUSINESS EXPERIENCE:
Christopher Day comes from a family of entrepreneurial business owners. Born and raised in Houston, he grew up in an environment that fostered a strong work ethic and innovative approaches to problem solving. His experience encompasses 11 years across a broad base of businesses and industries.
He has served as security analyst for Houston companies contracted by Lloyds of London and as an investment analyst in Boston where he developed presentations and business model demonstrations that were instrumental in acquiring angel investors for multi-million dollar start-up companies in the mutual fund industry. Christopher gained experience in analyzing and evaluating companies and risk management while working as a trader in Palm Beach for a hedge fund in the securities industry where he performed and executed various arbitrage-focused proprietary fund strategies.
Returning to his roots in Houston after accepting an associate position with an M&A advisory firm, he continued using his expertise and analytical skills while providing valuation and transaction advisory services for middle market companies and assisting them in attaining maximum market value.
Prior to joining Certified Businesses Brokers (CBB), Christopher served as a portfolio manager at a boutique private equity firm where he managed a team of traders & analysts and performed active due diligence on fund portfolio investments. Asset classes covered included private equity, general equities, ETF's, CEF's, real estate, RIETs, and bonds.
Christopher brings to CBB and its clients, a dedication to his craft, sharp analytical skills, an ability to bring together a "meeting of the minds," and an insightful understanding of the emotional and challenging issues that confront clients while guiding them through the acquisition & disposition process.
EDUCATION:
He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University, where he graduated with a dual-degree in Finance & Management Information systems.
